What Are Executor Services?

When someone passes away, their assets are referred to as their Estate. These assets can include a person’s property, along with the belongings that have value. These consist of tangible and intangible assets for example; a house, car, shares and investments.

When a person prepares a Will, they also have to nominate an Executor in their Will. The executor is the person responsible for administering the Estate by following the instructions as specified in the Will.

You can choose a person or an organisation to be an Executor of your Will.  An Estate administering company is capable of managing the estate from the start to the end.

If an individual Executor wants to stay in the role of Executor but needs some help, professionals can help with tasks like:

  • Applying for probate;
  • Managing tax returns;
  • Legal services such as conveyancing.
